A 200 bed Northern California Nonprofit Medical Center is looking for an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee their Critical Care Unit.
This Hospital is part of a large and stable healthcare organization, with facilities throughout the region. The Assistant Nurse Manager Critical Care will be responsible for a 14 bed ICU.
The Assistant Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care Unit will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. The Assistant Nurse Manager of Critical provide guidance on nursing practice, hiring and retention, budgeting and quality improvement.
The Assistant Nurse Manager of Intensive Care Unit will oversee a 14 bed ICU with over 100 FTE's. The Center exceeds national standards for care during a heart attack, and has excellent quality ratings and patient satisfaction scores. The Assistant Nurse Manager Critical Care will report to the Nurse Manager Critical Care Services.
The CCU Assistant Nurse Manager will report to the hospital tops nursing management and be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and services for the Critical Care Unit.
To ensure proper staffing for the ICU the Intensive Care Unit Nursing Manager will hire and train the unit's clinical staff. The ideal Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager will be a hands-on leader that can provide direct patient care if need and encourages and develops the CCU team to perform at a high level of excellence.
